Songs, Singers and Poets

Seventh Neuhardenberg
Singer's Get-together

with Klaus Hoffmann, Atrin Madani,
Viktoria Tolstoy & Jacob Karlzon and Ulla Meinecke

Artistic director: Klaus Hoffmann

Right from the start back in 2019, the Stiftung Schloss Neuhardenberg foundation and Klaus Hoffmann's Singer's Get-together singer-songwriter programmes covered 'a wide field', as the novelist Fontane, a Brandenburg native, might have put it. This year's offering is no exception: singers perform truly handcrafted songs, often written, composed and arranged by themselves and frequently a labour of love as well as other passions, in the way they were intended to be performed before the market turned them into commercial products. Granted, there is nothing wrong with that; after all, artists also have to make a living. However, performing them live on stage in the Neuhardenberg Castle park at the Singer's Get-together also always seems to have a kind of 'reverse transformation' effect: from a song with commercial value back to a song sung with passion, from a brand product, a hit, back to a ballad sung by someone who wants to share something with their audience. That is likely to happen once again this year when the four performers take to the stage in the afternoon and evening. With the 2026 edition, the Stiftung Schloss Neuhardenberg foundation and Klaus Hoffmann will be saying farewell to this programme event in the hope that the audience has as many wonderful lasting memories of the songs, singers and poets as they have.
