Hospitality
We do our utmost to also spoil you in culinary terms. We source most of the respectively required products either locally or produce them ourselves. We grow a lot of the seasonal fruit and vegetables in our own kitchen garden. Enjoy the fragrance of our herb garden on a walk through the grounds! Our home-made juices are best enjoyed with breakfast. Don't forget to try our castle honey, which is produced by the bee colonies in the park grounds.
There are various locations throughout the estate where you can sample our culinary delights. Besides our à la carte restaurant Brennerei, the castle kiosks dotted about the park and the Spritzenhaus in the Sommergarten that once housed the estate's fire pump also offer opportunities to enjoy a drink or a snack whilst out walking. You'd prefer a leisurely picnic in the grounds? Simply pre-order a well-filled picnic hamper from us to enjoy outdoors.
Restaurant Brennerei
In chancellor Karl August Fürst von Hardenberg's times, the 'Brennerei' still served the purpose suggested by its name: it was a distillery. Today, it houses our country inn style à la carte restaurant, which serves regional specialities reinterpreted in a contemporary way, along with local beers, a choice of wines as well as the liquid specialities suggested by its name. Weather-permitting, food and drink may also be enjoyed outdoors in the sheltered 'Brennerei' courtyard.
The Orangerie
The estate's former orangery is now a restaurant where we serve you exclusive set menus, for example within the scope of a package or a family celebration. Three elegant, light rooms with tall, arched windows provide the appropriate ambience.
Regional products and produce grown on the estate
