A real knight's castle as your new home – could you image anything better? Yes you could, as far as Max is concerned, because Geroldseck Castle, where he now lives with his mother, is a nursing home full of old people, grandmas and granddads. And as if that wasn't enough, Max now also has to spend his summer holidays there – great, that's bound to be pretty lonely and boring...

But then, there are several break-ins at the castle that (almost) scare the life out of its residents. Only Max is delighted: at last a chance to prove that he is a great detective! And of all people, it's the 'wild' seniors from table 7 that help him to solve the crime: the eccentric actress Vera, the former football trainer Horst and the retired professor Kilian. Together, they're actually over 200 years old – although certainly anything but over the hill! Max and his charming gang of pensioners solve the exciting Case of the Black Ace in true great master detective style.

This thrilling story for everyone aged seven and older is read by the Berlin-born actor, director, artist and passionate ocean sailor Boris Aljinovic.
