Sixth Neuhardenberg Singer's Get-together
Now already in its sixth edition: singer-songwriters, vocalists and poets pass the microphone to each other during a whole afternoon and evening, and showcase the many facets of an extremely varied genre – which gives rise to the reasonable question of whether it may actually be called a genre as such, considering the wide range of different views its representatives, i.e. the singer-songwriters themselves, have of their profession. After all, every song was written by someone at some point in time and – at least in the past 100 years – very often also performed by its creator; this applies equally to Georg Kreisler as well as most rock bands. Nevertheless, we have a specific mental image of the craft of the singer-songwriter that does not exactly include gigantic stage shows. Four outstanding singers and poets are therefore meeting in the Neuhardenberg Castle park in chamber music formation in the service of poetry, singing and good music.
