Söhne Mannheims
Piano

A grand piano, a pianist and the great voices of Dominic Sanz, Karim Amun, Giuseppe 'Gastone' Porrello and Michael Klimas: that is essentially the focus of the Söhne Mannheims new greatest hits format, played live on the piano – and they do not need anything else to perpetuate their own legend under the arc roof on Neuhardenberg's Chestnut Lawn. The arrangements are carried by the pianist Florian Sitzmann, whose sensitive and virtuosic technique has defined the Söhne sound for many years. His clever piano lines enter into a perfect symbiosis with the band's typical multi-voiced vocals. The crowning glory are the lyrics added live by rapper Metaphysics.

With their eclectic sound, which is somewhere in between soul, hip-hop, rock and reggae, and with roots in Zimbabwe, Jamaica, Ghana, Egypt, Italy, Poland, Spain and Germany, the band Söhne Mannheims has stood out on the German music scene for over 28 years. The ten-man musician collective's recordings have achieved gold and platinum status several times.

Besides classics from the band's past, such as Und wenn ein Lied, Geh davon aus or Das hat die Welt noch nicht gesehen, their Neuhardenberg programme will also include new songs such as Moral, Miracle or Eine Million Lieder and Mut from their new, seventh studio album Kompass. Like so often when music is reduced to its core, there are even hidden brilliant musical gems to be discovered in the well-known Söhne songs.
