Since its debut in March 1992, Singer Pur – the original line-up consisted of five former members of the Regensburger Domspatzen choir and a soprano – has become one of the internationally leading a capella groups. In its programmes, the German choir enjoys exploring the exciting contrasts between old and new music, which results in captivating dramatic compositions and, not least, the drawing of interesting conclusions both for themselves as well as the audience. Thanks to discoveries made in old books and manuscripts, cleverly combined with world firsts – often specially commissioned compositions – looking beyond the genre boundaries, collaborations with interesting colleagues and a clearly close bond with the repertoire, the sextet has a loyal fan base and has also already won three ECHOs, as well as an Opus Klassic in 2022.

The programme Fields of Gold links songs by Sting to pieces from a wide range of different vocal music eras with similar themes: Sting's oeuvre is so varied and rich in imagery that it inspires numerous associations with other works. This Singer Pur concert is therefore an homage to one of the great musicians of our times that is as wide-ranging as it is personal.
