Picnic in the castle grounds

Summer is particularly lovely amidst the ancient trees and sweeping meadows of the palace grounds. During the warmer months, we provide a lovingly prepared picnic basket for two – perfect for a little break in the countryside, a special afternoon for two, or as a delightful start to a visit to the palace complex.

The extensive landscape park is one of Brandenburg’s most remarkable historic sites. Its design is closely linked to the great names of 19th-century garden and architectural design: Karl Friedrich Schinkel shaped the classical appearance of the palace, whilst Peter Joseph Lenné and Hermann Fürst von Pückler-Muskau contributed to the development of the park. To this day, a stroll through the grounds offers a succession of charming views of the palace, the church, ancient groves of trees and scenic highlights.
