Truly avant-garde is when something happens that has never been seen or heard before, like here – the classical language of the 19th-century meets electronic music, familiar old ballads and a highly emotional performance. The language, the rhythm, everything is eruptive, dynamic, performed highly energetically, yet nevertheless controlled, expressed in verses and stanzas. As the beats become increasingly overpowering, the performers become more and more like slaves toiling in the quarry of Schiller's words.

With his solo projects Jedermann reloaded and Schiller Balladen Rave, Philipp Hochmair has created a genre-fusing music and theatre format. The highlight at the end of the evening: Schiller's Song of the Bell. More epic than ballad, like an online streaming series with countless episodes, it tells the story of the creation of the bell, tells of suffering and pain, of death, birth and joy – it is an analogy to the history of humankind. With his excellent band Die Elektrohand Gottes, the actor Philipp Hochmair turns 'his' Schiller into a pop rock concert, a Schiller ballad rave – a trip to be taken at your own risk.
