Klaus Hoffmann

Klaus Hoffmann, vocals, guitar
Hawo Bleich, piano, keyboard

Klaus Hoffmann never runs out of things to write songs about. He listens to life, suffers, enjoys it and is never lost for words when it comes to commenting on it in an ironic but affectionate way. He takes the audience on a poetic journey that begins in the divided Berlin, leads out into the world and the fullness of life via Afghanistan, and is certainly not yet at its end, because he is, and always will be, a travelling man who never stands still and never settles anywhere. With his profound, acutely observed lyrics and with a sheer unlimited number of beautiful, timeless melodies, his voice has been one of the most important and most appreciated in the German-speaking countries for decades, and has made him a member of the elite of singer-songwriters. The poet, composer and performer will also come to 'his' singer's get-together with a few new and a few well-known songs up his sleeve. He will sing one of these songs each together with each of his guests; this small gesture of friendship has now become a firmly established tradition. As he has been for 'what feels like the last 60 years', he will be accompanied, supported and sustained by Hawo Bleich on the grand piano and keyboard.
