To Love

Simone Kermes
Easter concert

Simone Kermes, soprano
Daniel Heide, piano

Songs and Arias by Antonio Vivaldi,
Claudio Monteverdi, Gioachino Rossini,
Gaetano Donizetti, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy,
Gabriel Fauré and others

Simone Kermes guests at major opera and concert halls all over the world. She has won the International Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Conservatory Competition and the International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition as well as numerous further prizes including an Echo Klassik for ‘Vocalist of the Year’ and an Echo for the opera recording of the year. Her work focuses on live performances; the artist tours successfully with her own music projects. Her concept albums, which she develops herself, are produced in collaboration with her record label Sony. However, she does not limit herself but is at home with all styles of music. Her albums have even conquered the pop charts. Beyond her own concert appearances, passing on her own musical knowledge and supporting young vocalists is particularly important to her, as she regularly proves with the masterclasses she holds all over the world.

In 2017, Simone Kermes formed her own orchestra called Amici Veneziani. She appeared at Neuhardenberg for the first time with this formation in 2018, and is now returning as one half of a duo together with the pianist Daniel Heide, one of the most popular chamber musicians and accompanists of his generation. In their Easter concert about love, the two artists meander through the ages, from Baroque and Romantic to French Impressionism and Contemporary.
